meditation x1

I paint while in a meditative state. The experience keeps me in the present moment and fully engaged in the process of creation. I focus on the act of painting. I am fully present to the paint moving on the canvas with the brush and palette knife. The painting is evidence of the meditation that took place. This process of meditative painting is assisted by my personal meditation practice which consists of floating and seated meditation. My hope is that in seeing the resulting paintings, the viewer also has a meditative experience and connects. In this shared human experience, we find the space of universality, and within that space, connection.
